A fast, funny, and slyly anachronistic period comedy, resonant with contemporary issues. At the eleventh hour, Shakespeare’s troupe, which is rife with love-triangles, and features a spear-carrier thrust into a major role, frantically rehearses the Pyramus and Thisbe section of A Midsummer Night's Dream for an imminent performance before the King and his court, on a night fraught with political intrigue.
